Officer Anthony DiPonzio Leads Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House in Autism Awar
Happiness House/Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House in collaboration with UNYFEAT (Upstate New York Families for Effective Autism Treatment) hosted our inaugural Autism Awareness Walk at Eastview Mall which raised over $18,600. A total of 247 walkers participated in this event helping to raise awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders, which affect 1 in 110 individuals. Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House is proactive in meeting the high demand and need for these services by opening new classrooms, increasing therapy services and building a new transitional home in Canandaigua.
Major sponsors of this event included Premier Physical Therapy Services, POMCO Group and BonaDent Dental Laboratories.
For over fifteen years Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House has been changing the lives of several thousand children, teens and adults in Ontario, Wayne, Yates and Seneca counties.
Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House continues to be the premier provider of integrated and comprehensive autism services to children, teens, & adults in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates counties. We provide evaluation, early intervention, occupational, physical & speech therapy, education, service coordination, residential, training, and family support services to individuals with autism and those who care for and about them.
Collaborations with University of Rochester, UNYFEAT (Upstate New York Families for Effective Autism Treatment) and more than 20 school districts keep Happiness House on the “cutting edge” of what we do.
In 2010, Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House celebrated the opening of their Autism Evaluation and Diagnostic Clinic, made possible by Senator Michael F. Nozzolio. Our clinic assists families in receiving an evaluation of those who may be on the Autism spectrum. Diagnostic and treatment services take place in a familiar setting and in a speedy manner.
Happiness House- Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association is a private nonprofit educational, health and human service organization that has been serving communities in the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York since 1969. Today with sites in Geneva, Gorham, Canandaigua, and Waterloo, Happiness House offers an array of educational, recreational, residential and family support services for children and adults with and without disabilities who reside in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties. On average Happiness House serves 1,000 individuals and their families each year.
