Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House
For over fifteen years Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House has been changing the lives of several thousand children, teens and adults in Ontario, Wayne, Yates and Seneca counties.
Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House continues to be the premier provider of integrated and comprehensive autism services to children, teens, & adults in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates counties. We provide evaluation, early intervention, occupational, physical & speech therapy, education, service coordination, residential, training, and family support services to individuals with autism and those who care for and about them.
Collaborations with University of Rochester, UNYFEAT (Upstate New York Families for Effective Autism Treatment) and more than 20 school districts keep Happiness House on the “cutting edge” of what we do.
In 2010, Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House celebrated the opening of their Autism Evaluation and Diagnostic Clinic, made possible by Senator Michael F. Nozzolio. Our clinic assists families in receiving an evaluation of those who may be on the Autism spectrum. Diagnostic and treatment services take place in a familiar setting and in a speedy manner.
Happiness House/Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House is proactive in meeting the high demand and need for these services by opening new classrooms, increasing therapy services and building a new transitional home in Canandaigua. On Saturday, April 30th, 2011, Happiness House/Autism Services of the Finger Lakes at Happiness House will host our inaugural Autism Awareness Walk at Eastview Mall. The event begins in the open court in front of BonTon at 7:30 a.m. Free t-shirts will be provided to all registrants. There is no minimum fee and no registration fee. All are welcome to join Happiness House in helping to raise awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders, which affect 1 in 110 individuals.
