Over $48,000 raised at the 8th Annual Happiness House Gala Dinner & Auction Event hosted by Foun

Happiness House/Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association is pleased to announce that over $48,000 was raised at the 8th Annual Gala Dinner & Auction Event. Founding and Major Sponsor Belhurst, Geneva, graciously hosted the event, which was presented by Five Star Bank, the event underwriter.

For her extraordinary service to Happiness House and to the Finger Lakes community, Mary Herlihy Gearan was honored with the “Happiness Is Helping” Humanitarian Award. The Volunteer of the Year award was awarded to Kim Parmarter, who has raised over $10,000 for Happiness House through her efforts in coordinating the annual “Jeremy’s Journey for Hope” motorcycle run.

Donations from the community and local businesses were sold at both a silent and a live auction. All proceeds from this event have been directed to the Happiness House Foundation to benefit Happiness House’s programs and services.

Happiness House- Finger Lakes Cerebral Palsy Association is a private nonprofit educational, health and human service organization that has been serving communities in the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York since 1969. Today with sites in Canandaigua, Geneva, Gorham, and Waterloo, Happiness House offers an array of educational program, recreational and family support services for children and adults with and without disabilities who reside in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties. On average Happiness House serves 1,000 individuals and their families each year.
